Bad gun care and maintenance is the number reason why a lot of airsoft guns get tossed out. If you want to make the most out of the money that went into buying your guns and gear, then put in the necessary time and effort to know how to maintain them.
Clean the barrels
Do this before you use the gun, says Airsoft Insider. Your gun will work so much better this way. Also, clear the grease out of the barrel after you use it. Shooting can leave behind grease which can attract even more dirt and dust that could compromise your gun’s performance.
Buy good quality BBs
Bad ones can jam into your Airsoft Spring Revolver. You’ll need to take it to a pro as soon as possible. If you want to keep that from happening, then make sure you invest in high quality BBs. If you don’t, you could damage your gun beyond repair and have to shell out more for a replacement unit.
Don’t use a damaged gun
Some gun owners make the mistakes of using a jammed gun. Don’t. That’s only going to worsen the problem. If you want to have it repaired, set it aside and have it fixed before you take it to your next game.
Take out the batteries
Don’t leave the batteries in when you’re done using the gun. Leaving them could lead to other problems.
Charge them right
Batteries can overcharge so you want to make sure you’re charging them just right. If you don’t, you could up with a gun that won’t fire. Calculate charging times so you won’t overcharge your batteries.
