For transman who went through a female puberty, the face was feminized which typically includes little to no brow bossing, a smaller chin and nose, less defined jaw and fuller cheeks. Additionally, the forehead is typically shorter and rounder. In contrast, the male face includes a bigger and longer nose, wider and more defined chin/jaw areas and a longer forehead.

Because incisions are from the inside and small, scarring is minimal. Implants for the chin and jaw are also placed from the inside. Forehead lengthening is done at the hairline level so any visible scars are minimal and usually fade over time. Swelling is expected after surgery but usually subsides within a few days.
