The Brush

Overall, brushes provide the exactitude required when painting edges and details. Narrow bridges are perfect for painting small, hard-to-reach areas; wide ones are ideal for larger surface coverage.
Paint brushes are also available composed of different material and in different degrees of texture. They can be of natural fibers or nylon. They may be hard, soft, or anything in between. You can even purchase angle brushes to paint corners.
Rollers
When it comes to applying paint to a large, flat surface, rollers are the popular choice. Like brushes, rollers are also available in different sizes and types. The filament length also plays into determining which roller is best suited for a specific job. Materials for both paint brushes and rollers also affect the selection. Natural fiber rollers are intended for solvent-based paints, plastic ones for water-based and sponge for oil-based paints.

Paint brushes and rollers are both tools to use when painting the ceiling, a wall, the baseboard, or any other surface. Whether you decide to use a brush or roller is rarely clear cut. However, when making a decision to employ one over the other, you need to always consider the following factors:
